Creating Bottle Vases
Creating Bottle Vases….they begin like the piece in the foreground. After it has set up a bit a donut of clay is added and the neck thrown…tres tricky!

I put a piece of foam around the neck to protect it before I

turn the vase upside down and put it in the trimming chuck

The vases are so tall that I need to stand to trim them…

Almost done, now to sign it and pull her out of the chuck…

I love this action photo of me flipping the vase after

pulling it out of the chuck.

All done…now to let them dry slowly…then the next

stage in the creation process starts…the glazing.
