I will be exhibiting at the Out of Hand fair in Victoria from Friday, November 29th, to Sunday, December 1st. It will be held at the at the Crystal Garden, 713 Douglas Street, Victoria.
Victoria’s most prestigious artisan fair, the Out of Hand Fair has a well deserved reputation for presenting fine crafts, artisan food and one-of-a-kind fashions. The Crystal Garden, once a salt water pool under glass, provides a spectacular backdrop for this professional show.
Mary has been featured in the June/July issue of Homes & Living magazine, which is on stands right now.
Vancouver Island’s largest outdoor visual art event, the TD Art Gallery Paint-In celebrated its 26th year! We were thrilled to be a part of this in July 2013.
The Paint-In is a community outreach initiative featuring 150 invited professional and emerging artists from Victoria and surrounding areas. Artists take their studios to the street to display and produce their work on Moss Street between Fort Street and Dallas Road. The Paint-In is a free and fun-filled community-based art awareness and education event that sees up to 35,000 visitors. Once again TD is demonstrating its commitment to supporting the visual arts as the Paint-In’s Title sponsor, back by further support from the City of Victoria.
Visitors to the event have the opportunity to meet with an enormous variety of artists and learn about their work and techniques. Ultimately, the event allows local artists access to a receptive audience while encouraging an appreciation of the arts among the visitors. Over 200 volunteers plus the participating artists dedicate at least 4,000 hours to make this exceptional community event possible.
Circle Craft returned to the Pendulum Gallery for a special show of Innovative craft designs from the past 40 years. Mary exhibited in August 2013.

October 5, 2012 – February 3, 2013
Mary exhibited at the Back to the Land exhibition at 1040 Moss Street in Victoria to February 2013. The Opening Reception was held at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria in October 2012.
Back to the Land: Ceramics from Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands 1970-1985 presented the work of 31 ceramic artists working on Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands in the 1970s and 1980s. Guest curated by Diane Carr, the exhibition emphasized the “back to the land” movement of the early 1970s as the impetus for the explosion of ceramic activity in this region.
Mary was the guest artist at the Filberg Festival, held in Comox on Vancouver Island in August.
Loved being the Guest Artist at the Filberg Festival, this was the 30th year for the Festival and I can see why it’s such a popular event. Four days in a wonderful park surrounded by really great Artisans with live music to enjoy as well… what could be better. Oh, I know what made it better…. great food as well, gotta love that! I met lots of new people that now have Mary Fox works in their homes, 2 of my sculptures have new digs and was reacquainted with some long time collectors that I haven’t seen in many years. A good time for sure.
